Website marketing content providers have long been singing the praises of Wordpress. Wordpress is geared towards our bread and butter, which is helping sites to rank. For a good rundown of exactly what Wordpress does, read the following passage from an article in SiteProNews:
The WordPress blog platform already has strong internal links and produces organic anchor text throughout the pages using breadcrumbs for titles in links in the navigation, deep links (from themed pages to ideal posts) and external links (links from other pages) as a result of your RSS feed.
When combined, these components increase the on and off-page optimization factors that push the sites global keyword density higher (the higher allinanchor relevance a site has the higher the ranking). Even if the blog is a subdirectory, your entire site gets stronger as a result.
Website Marketing Content Writing in Wordpress
How do you write website marketing content for the Wordpress platform? You write it the same way as you write for anything else. The key to writing for Wordpress is drawing a regular audience. You want people to subscribe to your feed and that means that you will need to make your work entertaining. It is a little different to the regular keyword rich website marketing content that most people push out.
As with any website marketing content writing, you want it to be keyword rich, but at the same time you do not want it to seem spammy. You want people to enjoy the content and that can mean making a few sacrifices in relation to keyword density. You can make up for that by producing a lot of material. You do not need to write a tome for every post, two hundred words ought to be enough. If you feel you can go longer, do so, but don’t push it out further than you are comfortable with writing. If you want to push a keyword further, write another post.
Wordpress allows you to make use of a few different features with your website content writing, use them. Use rich text editing functions, if your version of Wordpress does not have them, look them up. There are plenty of Wordpress tags that you can use to give your website marketing content a little more punch. Remember that you are writing website marketing content, not just search engine optimized content.

Website marketing content can take a great deal of effort to write at the best of times. Figuring out how long it takes often comes down to simple math exercises. You know how much website marketing content you will be able to produce in one hour. Divide the number of articles you are required to write by your work rate; that is how long it should take. I say should because it does not always work out that way. There is any number of things that can get in the way of your website content writing. Usually, the biggest distraction is the computer itself. Here are a few suggestions if you are easily distracted, but serious about website content writing.
- 1. Get a separate PC for your work. It is nice to have a clean, uncluttered system. No games, no distracting bookmarks, the bare minimum to get the job done. That usually means an Internet connection, a mail client and a word processor. You don’t need a power PC for the job; you just need a simple notebook. If you have trouble staring at a notebook screen, you can always plug it into a desktop screen and you can plug a separate keyboard into most notebooks as well.
- 2. Get a decent keyboard. I have worked on keyboards of various quality levels. Any keyboard above the $50 mark should get the job done nicely. Cheap keyboards tend to offer too much resistance and can lead to aches and pains further down the road and really put a dampener on your website marketing content writing career.
- 3. Website marketing content writing is a real job, treat it that way. Start and finish work at fixed times each day. Try to work solidly as opposed to spreading work out between extended periods of procrastination.
- 4. Posture is important. Website marketing content writing is all about output. A full time writer will be making a lot of keystrokes and be sitting for extended periods of time. Care needs to be taken to prevent conditions like RSI.
- 5. Take short regular breaks. While you don’t want to break between each article, it is nice to take a short ten or fifteen minute break between sets of articles. Have a cup of coffee, go for a walk, do something other than staring at the screen. You are not necessarily wasting time on such breaks, you are refreshing yourself and it provides an excellent opportunity to plan your next set of website marketing content articles.

Website marketing content can make or break a website and it has the potential to wreak havoc on your page rank. Most people fail to realize what an impact bad website marketing content can have.
Your website marketing content is a reflection of business. Why would anyone purchase goods from a company with sloppy content. I am not talking about the occasional spelling or grammar error here or there, I am talking about content that is of poor quality in general. Keep the quality of the writing up if you want to maintain a professional image.
Plagiarism will kill your page rank. There really is no excuse for duplicate content. You can quote from other pages but don’t copy other pages. Scraper sites don’t appear in most search results for a reason. That content came from somewhere else first and the brains behind the search engines are powerful enough to figure that out. Most of the material in your website marketing content should be your own, even if you are quoting someone else.
Writing for robots will not sell product. With website marketing content there is a happy medium that some writers seem to find and others do not. Getting too trigger-happy with keywords and key phrases makes website marketing content read loudly. People don’t like to see a keyword on every line. Spread them out if you want to encourage human readers with your website marketing content.

If you are dabbling in website marketing content writing, then you will already be aware that things can be very tough at times. Writing high quality website marketing content is not particularly difficult to do, but writing high quality website marketing content is. If you want to learn a few tips to speed up your website marketing content, read on.
- Plan your content well - While it might seem illogical that adding an extra step to the process could save time, it does work. Seriously folks, if can put together a quick plan for each website marketing content article that you write it will go much more smoothly. Each paragraph that you write will express a different set of ideas relating to a theme. Pick those paragraph ideas before you get started and you will find life gets a lot easier.
- Write a lot and write often - The more writing experience that you get the faster the process will become. You will learn a few tricks to stretch out a word count if you need to. If you are writing to a particular word count a lot of the time, you will find that your style adapts to that length. If you produce a lot of longer work, the shorter work becomes easier.
- Don’t take long breaks - A day off here or there is great for getting refreshed, but too much longer and you will find that the writing is hard going. There are times when website marketing content writing dries up and there are times when you have more than you can handle. The trick is to keep up your writing in the downtime by whatever means you have at your disposal. Why not keep a blog? You can use it to promote your work.
- Set goals and push your boundaries - Writing is an area where you really have to break out of your comfort zone. If you are comfortable producing eight articles of website marketing content in a day, then you should shoot for ten. Push yourself and you will get stronger.
- The customer is always right, even when they are wrong - Customers will ask you to rewrite articles from time to time. Don’t let it get to you. Nine times out of ten the rewrite will be for a mistake on your part. Maybe you failed to understand the product properly. Don’t point fingers and don’t lay blame, fix it. There are times that this can be a real chore, you will even find customers that ask for a second rewrite, or to add things that they didn’t tell you about the first time. If you grin and bear it, they will appreciate you for it. If one customer is monopolizing your time, or excessive in their demands, you might wish to rethink the relationship, but often you will find that you learn what the individual wants and that the miscommunication diminishes as time progresses.
Good luck and good writing; website marketing content writing can be tough at times, but if you stick with it, it can be a very rewarding career.

Call me an optimist, but I really do believe that the quality of website marketing content writing is improving. I think that search engines are largely to thank for that. As algorithms have become more complex, smarter webmasters have turned to professional writers for much of their website marketing content. You still see poor writing around, but the amount of high quality website marketing content has increased substantially.
The following passage is from an article that was featured in Web Pro News yesterday:
Seventy percent of consumers use the Internet to research consumer packaged goods before visiting a store according to a survey from Prospectiv “2007 Consumer Packaged Goods survey.”
When conducting research for consumer packaged goods (CPG) online 27 percent of consumers say they prefer e-newsletters followed by 25 percent who favor search tools. Fourteen percent said they used general saving and shopping sites along with branded product sites.
Just in case you were considering scrapping the e-mail delivery system in the wake of the news that e-mail is now dead:
When asked what online resource they would most likely sign up for/join to receive product information and promotional offers 47 percent said branded CPG e- newsletters, followed by branded CPG Web sites (39%) and online community/forum (14%).
What this means is that quality writing is selling and that it is not necessarily website marketing content that is doing it, but also newsletter content. If you are doing these jobs in house, it really pays to take care that you are producing professional results. Whether you think they do or not, people read what is on websites; even those obscure little pages that are lost behind so many links. Make sure that your website marketing content is up to standard, more people are online than ever before.

Where you do you get your website marketing content? There are several ways to develop real content for your website. First, you must see your website as a marketing tool. If it isn’t closing sales and converting traffic into money then your website content isn’t likely doing its job. Here are some valuable ways you can get quality website marketing content:
- Write it yourself
- Hire a ghostwriter
- Exchange services for an industry expert
- Article directories
- Aggregation
There are pros and cons to each of these methods of content development. If you write your website marketing content yourself, you really have to know how to sell. It isn’t enough to know your business. You must also know how to use the right words to make the sale. That’s where a ghostwriter can often come in handy. They are not close enough to your business to miss the important details. They are “emotionally detached.”
By asking an expert in your industry to help you write your website marketing content you can ensure that a well-known and knowledgeable professional is handling the details of your marketing content. That will go a long way to your credibility. But what do you have to offer in exchange for their services?
Another place website owners have gone for marketing content for their website is to article directories. This is free content. The downside is that content may be used by other websites in your industry. Do you want your customers to see the same recycled content over and over again?
Then there is aggregation. You can take RSS feeds and pull them into your website from other websites. If it is content worthy of notice then your website visitors will like it, but it could also send valuable traffic to another destination and away from your website.
When it comes to converting traffic to sales, you have to weigh your website marketing content carefully and make tough decisions about where you get that content from.

Two things will start to happen when you produce volumes of website marketing content. You will begin to write more quickly and you will begin to write more accurately. There is a definite wall for most people when they are getting started which makes them believe that they will never be able to make a living at website marketing content writing. Getting through that initial wall is about the hardest thing that you will ever have to accomplish as a content writer.
When most people get started at website marketing content writing, it might take them more than an hour to produce a respectable document. It takes a long time to write when you get started and it can be difficult to let the work go. Part of the problem that many people face with their website marketing content writing is that they become too focused on perfection. They write something once and then second guess themselves. Could you say something better? You probably could, but as long as your writing is accurate, it is probably fine.
If you are writing for someone else, they might love your highly polished work, but you have to remember how much you are getting per article. We are often more judgmental of our own writing than other people will ever be. My recommendation would be to be more critical of your own work as you get started and then slowly loosen the reigns as you get going. Punish yourself at first to develop your writing instincts. Establish the right habits and then stop second guessing. Check your work as you go, make use of a spelling and grammar checker. Your work should be high quality but you should be able to produce it with a minimum of fuss.
Setting tough standards in the beginning will make the going slow at first, but you will probably astonish yourself as to how capable you later become. Push yourself, but not too hard and you will get through that wall and start producing the volumes of content that do pay bills and can give you a reasonable standard of living.

Web design projects can create time management issues. It takes a great deal of time to code a site if you are not doing it all the time. There once was a time that I would do all of my site designing myself in a bid to save a few extra bucks. It usually worked out well for me, but spending hundreds of hours in front of the computer screen designing websites is not my idea of fun. I prefer to be in the trenches making sales, promoting, producing content and that sort of thing. Time is money after all, and why not spend your time doing the things that you do best? Outsourcing website design can be a massive time saver and is not all that expensive with GetAFreelancer.com and Quote Catcher.
I use Quote Catcher for times that I want a site designed from the ground up. Quote Catcher will allow different designers to bid for your site. You will get up to five quotes, you choose the one that is the best offer from your point of view. The best offer does not have to be the cheapest one. It depends on your needs, if you want a slick looking website, then it is probably wise to go with whichever site designer has the most impressive portfolio. If it does not really matter, go with the cheapest.
When I have smaller or more technical jobs, I use GetAFreelancer.com. With GetAFreelancer.com you give a specific outline of the job that you require and freelance programmers will offer you bids. It is important to distinguish GetAFreelancer from Quote Catcher. The freelancers on GetAFreelancer.com are programmers, you use them for programming related jobs. If you need a shopping cart system, or would like to make some sort of site related improvement, this is the place to go.

If you want a quick and easy way to improve your website, try a different font.
There are literally hundreds of fonts. But most of them are difficult to read, especially in a digital format. However, there are several fonts that will improve your website design and the readability of your content if you start using them right now.
In general, the best font for your website is a sans serif font. Sans serif means the letters come without those small lines at the ends of them. These are easier to read on web pages so I highly recommend them. Some of the best fonts for improving your website readability include:
• Verdana
• Georgia
• Arial
• Futura
• Helvetica
• Gills Sans
• Optima
• Palatino
• Univers
Try experimenting with these fonts and when you find one that you like, stick with it. You’ll find that your website improves drastically with just that one change.

Some people fail to see the link between website marketing content and site traffic. Sure they understand that well written content can bring in customers, but they do not quite understand how website marketing content can be used to draw traffic from searches.
The process is quite simple. Your website marketing content is indexed according to the keywords that it contains. Words that appear more frequently than others tend to be classed as keywords. Well written website marketing content will be optimized toward searching. Keywords will be strategically placed throughout the article so that when a person types in keywords relating to the product, the website marketing content page is likely to appear.
Here at Brick Marketing, professional website marketing content writing is just one of many services that we offer. If you are interested in our content writing services, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Everyone wants to improve their website, but did you know you can improve your website 100% by making just one simple change? No joke. This is it:
Make your page titles unique and relevant!
Seriously, this one one improvement to your website will bring you more traffic and keep people on your page longer than almost any other improvement. If you look at the top of your Internet browser, you’ll see the title of this page. Most small business put their company name in that page title area. The fact is, most of your prospective customers don’t know who you are yet and really don’t care. Plus, those first few letters of your page title will be viewed as the most important part by the search engines.
If you want your company name in the page title, put it at the end. Put your keyword phrase at the beginning and write it in such a way that it promises a benefit to your readers. Make it interesting and unique and they’ll visit your page. That is the best website improvement you can make today.

Here is a quick list to improve your Website Marketing Content writing. This is by no means an exclusive list of things that you can do, but they are things that have helped me in the past.
Avoid unnecessary pronouns - Why refer to a product as it? The product is valid as a keyword, make use of it.
Plan ahead - Just as you would plan a term paper in college, plan your website marketing content. Decide how long you want it to be and jot down a few notes, it will help you write faster.
Never copy content - Your writing should be original, the theme to different articles can be identical, but your content should be original.
Research - Check out what other people are writing about your keywords. Go to article repositories, there are plenty of sources for inspiration.
Don’t overwrite - There is a reason why most newspaper articles target readers of a junior high school to high school reading level; that is the level that most people are comfortable reading at. If you exceed the average reading level you will alienate a large number of potential readers. Keep it simple.
Using these few, simple ideas will help you write better content, but if you ever find that you have more work than you can handle, feel free to contact us at Brick Marketing.

Just about anyone can produce basic Website Marketing Content, but when it comes to producing greater volumes of work, a lot of people find it difficult. The problem is invariably their approach to the work. If you are producing a large number of articles, each at a fixed length, there are certain techniques that you can make use of that will make the job at hand much, much easier.
Word count can be important, especially if you are being paid by the word. You want to make sure your articles are as close to the cut-off point as possible and you want to have too many words rather than too few. There is nothing worse than typing out a 498 word article and missing out on two cents. It all adds up, and it is always nice to see round figures on those paychecks. Write to the limit each and every time. If you need an idea of how much you have done, a nice little trick is to hit Alt + T + W (you hit them one after the other), this is the keyboard shortcut for the word count in MS Word. I do word counts constantly, just to give me an idea of how much more material I need to think of.
Group your articles according to theme. Grouping your articles will save you a great deal of time. Your themes can be identical as long as your content is slightly different. If you get into the habit of grouping your jobs into similar themes, you will find that your writing speed improves with each article. Do as many articles on one topic as you can stand in one sitting. Then repeat with a different theme. Sometimes a bit of variety is nice, but remember your earning potential is determined by how many articles you can produce in an hour. The people that are most successful at content writing do not get sentimental about what they are producing. Content is content, you want it to fall within a certain standard, but you do not need to be up there with Shakespeare. High quality writing that is easy to understand can be produced quickly if you are systematic in your approach.
Incorporating key phrases can sometimes be difficult. What I find works well with the more difficult phrases is breaking them up and separating them with punctuation. A comma can really come in handy when you need to work in an awkward phrase here or there. You want to have your keywords appear regularly throughout an article, but you do not need to go overboard. If they appear too often, it looks obvious and there is no need for that.
If you are looking for more tips to help your writing, an source of information is the SEO Book. You can also come to visit us at Brick Marketing if you need any ideas or want to outsource any website marketing content.

If you are interested in producing some of your own website marketing content, it can be a great way to save a few dollars on the establishment of your website. It is a lot of work, but there are some simple techniques that can save you a great deal of time. Being a website content writer is all about efficiency, for professional content writers, their income is determined by how many keystrokes they can make per hour. A professional can have a very high rate of output and while you may not be able to achieve such an impressive work rate, it can be a good way to get a little bit of content out in a pinch.
The first thing that a content writer will do is to decide upon their keywords and their topics. If you are writing for your own site then it is best to sit down and think about how many articles you want and what keywords or key phrases you want to cover. Don’t try to fit too many in each article. A few keywords and a single key phrase is enough. Some schools of thought call for a single keyword per article. I do not take so strict a view, I tend to be more flexible, but I keep my focus very tight.
The next thing that any skilled marketing content writer will do is to plan their article. This does not mean making a formal outline, it means determining the basic course of the article before they begin writing. If you have a good memory, you can do this mentally, but it is just as easy to do in your word processor. Think of a rough plan for your document and then create the subject of each paragraph. I tend to create roughly one paragraph for every hundred words. They don’t always work out to be that long, but more often than not they are close to it.
Some SEO writers will tell you that you need to focus on keyword density and that sort of thing. If you are writing website marketing content, you do not really have to concern yourself with keyword density. You want your word or phrase to appear throughout the document, but you do not want it in there so often that it seems unnatural. Bombarding your article with a keyword excessively will make it difficult to read and will turn off human readers, it might also affect your search engine relevance.
The final trick of the trade is to produce articles in blocks. If you have a group of articles with similar keywords, it is acceptable for them to have similar content. What they cannot have is the same content. Duplicate or near duplicate content will see your relevance downgraded in a very short amount of time. The theme of an article can be the same or similar, the words must be different. If you write a lot of articles about similar topics close together, you will find that your speed improves quite dramatically.
You do not need to produce your own content. In fact, more and more webmasters are outsourcing the task than ever before. Outsourcing will get you professionally written content in short amounts of time. It is always good, however, to know how to produce a few articles if you need to.
If you are interested in some high quality web content at reasonable prices, pay us a visit at Brick Marketing.
